Festivals Galore

The summer festival season is nearly upon us and you can catch Alan in a number of locations around the UK over the next couple of months.

Beginning in June, Alan will be appearing at the Download Festival comedy tent. The country’s premier Heavy Metal rock festival, Download is held annually at the Castle Donington race circuit near East Midlands airport. This year’s event runs from June 8th to 10th and features headline acts The Prodigy, Metallica and Black Sabbath. The comedy tent runs in the camp site for two days prior to the festival, to entertain those who like to arrive early and camp out, and is always popular with festival goers. Organized by Funhouse Comedy, Alan will be appearing on the Wednesday night, June 6th.

In July, Alan has been invited to perform at the Jersey Comedy Festival. Held in St Helier, the capital of the largest of the Channel Islands, Alan is one of twelve acts invited to perform at the Gala event, as well as a number of smaller events over the course of the weekend. Other acts include such well known names as Tony Law, James Dowdeswell and Kate Smurthwaite. The festival takes place over the weekend of July 13th and 14th.

Finally towards the end of the month Alan will appear in the comedy tent for the Kendal Calling festival in the picturesque Lake District. Voted the UK’s best small music festival for the last two years running, Kendal Calling runs over three days and is headlined this year by Dizzee Rascal, James and Maximo Park. Alan will appear in the comedy tent on Friday July 27th and Sunday July 29th.
